SPANISH CONVERSATION WORKSHOP
What level? INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
When? Saturday 02/16/2013
What time? from 9:30AM to 11AM
Who can participate?
This workshop will be for people who are able to speak Spanish in a intermediate level. We call them Survivors.
A SURVIVOR converses using basic vocabulary (time, date, weather, family, clothes); uses the present, past, and future tenses more or less correctly; and is aware of difficult grammar topics (e.g., subjunctive, relative pronouns), but either uses them incorrectly or awkwardly rearranges sentences in order to avoid them. Still needs to tote a dictionary and/or phrase book around, but can survive in an immersion situation: order food, give and receive directions, take a taxi, etc.
If you are not sure if this meeting is for you, read section "More" and then click on "Files", there you will find other levels of fluency.
What is this workshop about?
Conversation, conversation and more conversation around topics that are interesting to the members of the group, as well as current news.
Is anyone supervising the activity?
A professional Spanish instructor, our fantastic Ysabel, will supervise the activity and try to help you be aware and to pay attention to the common mistakes you are making while you speak. If there is a tense (or tenses) you need to reinforce, a word you are consistently mispronouncing, a book you should get or a website you should check, Ysabel kindly will let you know. Our goal is to make your conversation sound more fluent and natural.
How long does this supervised activity last?
This workshop will last 90 minutes.
How bad is parking in that area?
Big parking lot. FREE.
