Conversational Spanish + Classes & Tutoring in DC/MD/VA

This meetup arouse out of my girlfriend’s frustration in finding a decent Spanish class in town – even after paying for a private instructor! I am a native speaker from Puerto Rico and lawyer in town and, along with my sister-in-law, also a native speaker, psychologist and former Montessori school accredited teacher, will host this group for people that want to further develop their Spanish conversational skills. Private tutoring to learn / practice technical Spanish jargon (law, medicine, health care, finance, etc.) available upon request.

Correct usage of grammar is needed to speak properly, and we’ll certainly address it along the way, but this group is focused on developing vocabulary for professional conversational Spanish. Groups will be small and we'll have the opportunity to listen to others speak, while also remembering what we once learned, and lose the fear to speak publicly!

We’ll meet in public places that are walking distance from the Friendship Heights metro stop (there are plenty of coffee shops and little restaurants in the area). All levels of Spanish are welcome but ideally you have had some experience and need the opportunity to immerse yourself once again and kick it off. With these meetings, we hope you remember, you learn, you practice and you feel comfortable to talk to someone on the street or in your next meeting at work. Come join us and talk, talk, talk – is the best and only way to learn!
