What we’re about
Esperanto is a linguistic handshake: I don't force you to speak my language and you don't force me to speak yours, we shall meet half-way for the enrichment of both of us.
Berlin has a vibrant Esperanto community where you can meet fascinating people from many different countries through a neutral common language. There are several groups regularly meeting at various cafés and restaurants and community centers throughout the city and there are extraordinary events as well, like concerts, movie showings or short film festivals. This group will try to summarize everything Esperanto that's going on right now.
