Speak Photo Rochester - "The Best Camera Is The One That's With You"

Chase Jarvis in his book "The Best Camera Is The One That's With You" writes "For me, the iPhone has been a dream come true. One button. Always with me. Incredibly accessible. There’s no losing sight of the work at hand by way of more complicated gear. Writers have notepads, painters have sketchbooks, and I have a camera that’s always with me. Chances are, you do, too."

We think you may have a camera (smart phone) that is always with you and are interested in learning more about creating photographs with it. We think people want to experience what it is like to have their camera "always with them" and how to use it.

Our Meet Up on June 5th, is all about "iphoneography", "androidography" or just, "the camera on your smartphone". We will look at and discuss Chase Jarvis's book, we will review smart phone photography and the apps available and we will listen to our members talk about their experiences with their smart phones and photography.

We hope you will join us and please, if you have some photos that you have created using your camera phone and would like to share them with the group... bring them in. Better yet, if you would email them to me in advance I can either print them or load them on my computer and show them through an overhead projector. It promises to be a fun evening.
