** We offer a no-risk pre-payment philosophy. You can pay online to reserve your seat and as long as you email Matt the week of the event and give us at least 72 hour's notice, we will gladly give you a refund if you can't make it. ** Disclaimer about Late arrivals. Please arrive at Check In time. If you arrive after the Event Start time, we will not be able to put you into the event and not be able to refund your money if you have already paid. Adding another person after the Event Start time, disrupts the rotations and detracts everyone when meeting each other. This rule is in place to provide the highest quality experience for those who do show up on time so the event goes smoothly.
**Pre-paying is highly encouraged. It helps the host and the venue create the best experience possible. And helps us not to cancel our next upcoming event due to low turnout! We offer a low-risk pre-paying system. If you pre-pay you can get a refund up to the day before the event. See refund policy for more details.

Bring the following to the event : A pen and about 7 questions to ask your partner on a 3x5 notecard . **It's encouraged but if you do not have a pen or notecard please still come to the event. These supplies will be provided for those who forget to bring their supplies. We still want you!! See Event Details below for more information.
** Our events are usually at venues that are 21 and up where there are usually ID checks. Remember to bring your ID too before you leave home!!
Prizes For this Event :
Depending on the turnout for this event we may offer a contest at the end of the night for where the group votes for 'Best Question'. The winner gets a bar tab, or giftcard on me that same night!
We also may offer prizes; if the place we choose wants to offer us promotional items, drinks, food, etc at the last minute.
How do I Dress?
The dress is casual. It will take place in the open area of the inside of a bar in most cases. Afterwards, people are free to mingle at the bar and get drinks, exchange numbers, and have a great time after.

Our event will start promptly at the designated Event Start time. Please check in as close to Check In time as possible.
**People who arrive 15 minutes or less before the start of the event may not be able to join the event. Sorry, we have to do this in order to ensure that everyone has a partner before the start of the event. We need everyone to be there early so that we can make sure everyone learns the rules, has a partner, and has a great time for the event!! Thank you so much for your understanding.
Each person sits in a chair across from a partner. Your partner may be a guy or girl. You get to ask your partner the questions you have brought to the event. Your partner responds. After you are both done responding to each other's questions, you switch partners.
You ask any of the questions your brought...you can even steal other's questions! Make the questions fun, silly, thought provoking or even like Miss America-type of questions!
Here are some sample questions that you can ask your partner :
1) If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with it?
2) Would you rather eat pizza your entire life? Or not be able to tell a lie for a year?
3) What kind of comic book character best represents you?
4) Would you rather have the ability to fly? Or have the ability to breath underwater? Why?
Steer away from these type of questions :
1) What do you do for work?
2) How long have you lived in here?
3) What do you like most about this town?

Okay, so I've made a new friend at the event. Follow up with someone I meet at the event? Now what do I do?
You get partnered with many people at the event. In order to keep the event moving along you should only get contact information from people you meet after the main Speed Friending Event is over. We have a social time right after the main event, which gives you plenty of time to naturally get to know someone.
The idea of the Event is that Speed Friending is a Giant Icebreaker for the group. Then afterward we all do something together, usually pool, chat over food, play games, sit around and talk. So after the main event is over, we all move to a separate location and have a social mixer to mingle immediately following the main event. At the mixer everyone openly mingles and exchanges contact information. And if you see someone you like and want to be friends with or get their number, just talk to them and ask for their number simply after the event, just like you would in a party, or bar setting anyway. We looking for friends here.
Rules and Refund Policy:
We highly encourage you to pre-pay. This reserves you a seat, so your host can prepare your seat in advance and also be able to provide the best event possible for you each time!
**Please note that we pride ourselves in offering a low-risk pre-pay system. If you pre-pay for our next upcoming event in advance, know that we will work with you if you need a refund at anytime. We want you to feel safe pre-paying. And in return we want to offer you easy and quick refunds if any unexpected events in your life pop up. Just email us if you need a refund.
Our events are most successful when we have a lot of people attending, so our mission is to have around 30 people RSVP every time!!
We may cancel the event if we have 7 or less pre-pay and RSVP for our event. If we reschedule and you have already paid, shoot the host an email for a refund. If we cancel, any money will be refunded and we will create another event again next month !

We promise to move you into spots as they become available. We create waiting lists to ensure those who have already paid or RSVP-ed early, have an enjoyable and memorable time. RSVP's for most events are first come, first serve.
Late / NO-SHOW POLICY
If you know you will be running late or won't be attending, please call or email to let your host know as soon as possible. If you want to cancel your RSVP and you've already paid, let your host know at least 72 hours before the event or more. You will get a full-refund if you need to cancel your reservation(s) for our event and you let us know by this time. Also as soon as you know you may not be attending our event, please remember to Un-RSVP or you may not be invited back to Speed Friending Events in the future.
No refunds are given 72 hours or less before the event start date, even if a member lets the host know. This is because we have to spend hours well in advance preparing for all expected possible arrivals as well as we make special arrangements with our vendors to deliver you specials based on the number of event attendees. No shows affect our ability to offer you great drink and food specials in the future so we discourage any no shows.
If you have a pre-paid reservation, remember to tell your host you will not be attending and Un-RSVP online. Those who are unable to do this will be not be reimbursed and will be considered a 'no show'.
A paid reservation is considered a guaranteed reservation. We spend hours preparing for each of our events ahead of time we make sure to reserve a seat for you at the event as well as arrangements that must be made in advance such as having enough waitstaff to service our event which is based on the amount of attendees expected. Additionally, various supplies have to be prepared by the host before the event for each person expected to attend, since no shows have multiple impacts on making sure the event is successful and that everyone that attends has a great experience each time, if you make a reservation and pre-pay, you have secured a place for which no refund can be offered if you do not let us know about your cancellation in advance.
