About the Speakers

Mr. Avi Shavit, Kidma program Director, and head of Cyber &
Homeland Security Research Activities at the Chief Scientist Office (CSO)

At 2006 Mr. Shavit was nominated as the Israeli expert in the Israel delegation of the FP7 Programme Committee Security Research. Mr. Shavit, was one of the leading experts in a special team convened by the Prime Minister to develop a strategy to defend Israel's computer networks against assault from hostile activities and terrorist organizations. In 2010 Mr. Shavit initiated a new Cyber research project with a visionary approach to develop a Multi Tiered technology
for computer attack. The program is planned for three years, with a CSO fund of
more than 14 Million Euro. Mr. Shavit is also the Managing Director of VULCAN
Program (Video Understanding Learning Content & Notification for security purposes). Previously Mr. Shavit served as Managing Director of another research program in the area of sensors, signal processing, and data fusion for security. Mr. Shavit also serves as a security expert in the European Commission. Mr. Shavit has extensive experience in software and communication product development, marketing, and business development. While serving in the Israeli Air Force, he was responsible of developing sophisticated security solutions, several of them received rewards, including the highest rank of Israeli Security Reward given by the Israeli President. Mr. Shavit also served as a CTO in a VC specialized in Information Technology. In the last 15 years Mr. Shavit performed due diligence, business and technical evaluation, provided strategic consultation
to Startup companies and others.

Mr. Uri Rivner, VP BD & Cyber Strategy, BioCatch

Uri Rivner is recognized globally as an industry expert on Cybercrime and advanced threats. He is a regular speaker in the leading Security and Cyber conferences, and writes a cyber-security blog (http://www.finextra.com/community/blogs.aspx?MemberID=39696) read by thousands of professionals. Prior to joining Biocatch in August 2012 as co-founder he served as Head of New Technologies, Identity Protection at RSA. Over the years Uri worked closely with the world’s largest financial institutions on developing solutions against online crime, Phishing and Trojans, and helped other industry verticals establish an effective defense doctrine against advanced cyber threats. He was a key player in developing anti-Cybercrime technologies used today by thousands of organizations worldwide to stop billions of dollars in fraud each year and protect hundreds of millions of users.

Mr. Rami Efrati - Heads the Civilian Division of the Israel National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister's Office

Mr. Efrati is an expert in Cyber Technology Strategic Methods.

Col. (Res.) Efrati has served in the Israel Defense Forces for more than twenty eight years. He commanded numerous prestigious operational and technological positions in Military Intelligence and received the Creative Thinking Award from the Director of Military Intelligence.

Mr. Efrati also has 16 years of civilian experience and has been involved in entrepreneurial activities with both start-up and established companies in the Cyber-Security, High Tech and Bio-Technology sectors.

Alex Milstein - COO & Co-Founder

Alex is a seasoned Operations executive with a proven track record in several major technology companies, including Comverse Technology, Paradigm Software Solutions and Finjan Software. Alex brings a wealth of global experience in operations, sales, professional services, alliances, systems and processes from diverse vertical markets such as telecommunications, oil and gas exploration and production, Internet security and more. Alex served as an officer in the IDF's elite technological unit (MAMRAM) and holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion).

Mr. Yoav Tzruya, Partner, JVP

Yoav brings strong background and industry recognition in the fields of digital media, content services, telecom value-added services and business support systems. Prior to joining JVP Yoav headed Altus Media Ltd., a venture capital consulting business, providing business, strategy and operational support for VCs and digital media and content related startups, including JVP portfolio companies. Previously, Yoav spent five years as General Manager/COO and CMO of Exent Technologies, an industry leader in the space of games on-demand, growing the business 70% Year-over-Year five years in a row. In this capacity Yoav was instrumental in building new offerings and revenue streams for industry leaders such as Verizon, Comcast, Intel, CBS, Time Warner and France Telecom.

Previously, Yoav held multiple executive positions at TeleKnowledge, an innovator in the space of business support systems. He was responsible for Product Management, Marketing and Business Development, helping define telecom value-added services and digital media strategies for the likes of Telefonica, Yahoo, Listen.com (Real Networks), Turbine Entertainment, FullAudio
(AOL), StarMedia, TheStreet.com and others. Yoav further spent six years in the
Israeli Air-Force, managing mission critical development projects, and is a decorated officer. Yoav is a board member of AnyClip, Apparent, AE-Squared, UIU, Correlor, Wishi and CrossReader. Yoav holds an International Executive MBA
from Kellogg/Northwestern and Tel-Aviv University, as well as a M.Sc. in computer Science (cum laude) and a B.Sc. in Mathematics (cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University.
