Hike and Meditation - Spit to Manly
Details
Anastasia spoke of the importance of maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit. She demonstrated remarkable strength (when she saved the injured Vladimir from the wild dogs and carried him back to her glade, and his pack too!!, that's got to be around 100kg!).
Join us for an energy breathing hike starting at the Spit Bridge and travelling through bushland around the shores of the harbour for 7km to Manly.
We'll meet at the carpark off Spit Rd at the north end of Spit Bridge and walk down to Clontarf Reserve, where Brad will demonstrate the practice of energy breathing; an ancient Buddhist practice for increasing energy during hiking and running.
From there we'll begin the hike, taking short breaks along the way, taking in the beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour and forest. If it's warm, there'll be opportunities to swim at the small secluded beaches along the way, so bring your swimmers!
We'll also find a nice spot to meditate at some point along the hike.
WHAT TO BRING: Hiking / running shoes, day pack, swimmers, sunscreen, hat, 2L water bottle, lunch / snacks.
TRANSPORT: If you drive to Spit Bridge, you can catch the bus back to the carpark from Manly (It's easy and I've done this several times).
Please email me through meetup.com, if you have any questions.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Brad
