Bathurst Trip - Kins Domain Opportunity

Hi folks,

Sandy has invited members from our group to visit his 110 Hectare property at Mt Ranking, near Bathurst.

He's had the property for 13 years and is working towards establishing an eco-village, based on Anastasia's philosophy and is keen for people to create their own kins domains.

He has already prepared and spread Biodynamic preparations over 60% of the area during the mid 1990’s and noticeably thickened the black soil topsoil layer from less than 1” to more than 4”.

A feature of his land, is that it constitutes the headwaters of Kellosheil Creek and has shallow bore water currently flowing.

It has 5 spring fed dams, none of which have dried out in 12 years.

Sandy had no farming or growing experience as a Mining Engineer and then a Herbalist, he was just looking for a way to improve soil depth, on what is essentially granite gravel and thought Biodynamics might be the way to go.

Sandy expects to sell 50 year leases to those who get into growing and then to leave in his Will the promise to subdivide and sign over all established domains. Land would ultimately support at least 60-70 of them.

The block is located at the headwaters of Kellosheil Creek, has unpolluted lovely drinkable groundwater about 5m down all over the block and 5 spring fed dams – never analysed - just tasted.

Light frosts have just started this year – have had only a couple of snowfalls over the past 13 yrs, but plenty of 5 degree frosts.

The two river gullies are on his fence lines and he's sure you will not find pesticides or heavy metals. There are possibly only 8 or 10 farm or small houses which could discharge into the block. The nearest one is 1Km from his house.

His block is 15 Km from Bathurst and around 400’ higher – unlikely to flood.
