Welcome to the Spokane Pug Meet Up Group! We are a friendly group who just love our Pugs!! We meet at two local parks, The High Bridge Dog Park and The Stateline Dogpark (at the Idaho/Washington Stateline)! Meeting at 2 local parks gives our pugs a chance to play with various people, pugs, and other dogs!
We also have an awesome indoor venue for the winter months, we meet at Jeanne's Doggie Daycare and Pet Hotel on Appleway once a month from October to February to keep our pugs out of the cold. Jeanne is so awesome, that we get to meet their for FREE!!
We would also like to welcome other brachycephalic (smooshed face dogs) to come join in our fun!! We would like to welcome the following breeds: Shih Tzu, Pekingese, Boston Terrier, French Bulldog, and English Bulldog. I know there are more dogs with the cute squished face but I want to make sure we aren't bringing dogs into the group that are too much bigger than our pugs!
Membership dues are collected on a donation basis. Dues cover costs to keep the meetup site active, water and bowls for summer meetups at locations where these are not avaliable, and we would eventually like to make a donation from our group to one of the local organizations helping pets in need.
Please bring bags to clean up after your dogs, it is our responsibility to make sure we leave the area's we meet up in clean!
Check out the Meet Up website often, people are always posting about pugs looking for new homes. Craigslist also is a popular site for people looking to rehome their pugs and our members are constantly relaying that information here for any of us that are willing to make room for a pug in need. We encourage you to contact these listings if you are able to help.
