Project Linus Make A Blanket Day

Please join us in the Greenhouse for a fun day of sewing, knitting, and crocheting for our Project Linus "Mini" Make A Blanket Day!

Project Linus donates handmade blankets to local organizations that help seriously ill or traumatized children. The Triangle chapter has donated over 25,000 blankets since they started in 1996, and we're so excited to support this great cause!

For this event, all you need to bring is yourself, your sewing machine, and a fun attitude! We will supply the fabric and batting for quilts! Even if you don't sew, please join us! We will need help ironing, cutting and assembling blankets. Knitters and crocheters are welcome to bring projects, as well!

So come for the day, or come for an hour! Any help is appreciated, and we look forward to sewing together for Project Linus! For more information about this amazing organization and how they help around the Triangle, please visit their blog.

I had a great time, learned a lot, got a lot of practice and met some nice people! ...and all that was for an inspiring cause!

I had a wonderful time! Everyone is so nice. I made some new friends, and saw some people I had met at previous Spoonflower events. I almost finished the quilt - but hey, chatting with everyone there is also part of the fun!

Accomplished what I intended and witnessed impressive organization from both Spoonflower and Linus/Wake County. Good Goin' Gas! Made a couple of new friends and my lil' Singer got a workout. Many thanks to the lady who gave me the Singer machine needles. They will get used.

I hate to cancel so late. The flu/cold that's been going around caught up to me. :( Have fun!

I designed a very simple method for making charity quilts. I've taught it to many groups and have produced dozens of quilts in a day. I'd be happy to show you if you like.

Getting wild and crazy in my old age, will try anything with fabric, stitches, paint, beads, etc. Intrigued by Julie's simple method, bring it on.

So sorry I can't make this; I'll be out of town. I'll try to get a blanket to Spoonflower before I leave!

Hi, Brooke! We'll miss you here, but it sounds like you'll have a great time volunteering that Saturday! A powwow sounds like a ton of fun! Enjoy!

Argh! I can't make it after all. I forgot that I'd already volunteered for the EPA Sustainability booth at a powwow (really!) in Alamance County. Rats!
