The Greenhouse Open Studio is your sewing studio away from home! Bring your personal project and work at your own pace in the Greenhouse for three uninterrupted hours of sewing.

Stuck on a step of your sewing project? Our sewing mentor, Teri Stern, will be available to help you through the tricky parts. Teri started sewing at the age of 5 and never stopped. Through decades of sewing, Teri has experience with everything from garments, wedding dresses, and dance costumes to home decor, menswear, and doll clothes. She can help you acquire a new sewing technique or simply cheer you on.

The Greenhouse is equipped with ironing and cutting stations, and we are well stocked with basic tools that you are welcome to use while you're here. If you need to borrow a machine, be sure to let us know in advance!

Open Studio is your time to sew!

For anyone interested in a charity quilting bee this fall...

At each of our October and November Pins & Needles and Open Studio events, we will provide coordinating fabrics for folks to complete a 12" x 12" quilt block in a pattern your choice. Folks will leave their finished blocks with us, and, at December's Open Studio, we will finish a quilt to be donated to our local chapter of Project Linus (http://projectlinusraleigh.blogspot.com/) for the holidays!

Please note that you are welcome to bring any projects you like to these events! We will have the materials available if you'd like to work on a block for our quilt, but you do not have to participate in this bee!
