Softies for Mirabel plushie sew-in + handmade toy drive!

Please join us in the Greenhouse to whip up some cut-and-sew plushies for a great cause! Softies for Mirabel (http://meetmeatmikes.com/2013/09/softies-for-mirabel-2013/) is a handmade toy drive in support of the Mirabel Foundation (http://www.mirabelfoundation.org.au/), an Australian organization dedicated to helping children affected by parental substance abuse. You have two options for contributing to this worthwhile effort! Join us at our sew-in by RSVPing here, or feel free to ship or drop any finished, handmade toys to our offices by Wednesday, November 20, at 5pm, and we'll take care of sending all of the toys to Australia!

For the sew-in: We will be printing a variety of our favorite cut-and-sew prints (http://www.spoonflower.com/shop?type=&view=designs&shop=fabric&q=cut+and+sew+plushie&x=-692&y=-8) for folks to sew in the Greenhouse, but feel free to come and crochet or knit a toy, as well. Just bring a sewing machine if you'd like to work on the cut-and-sew kits we're providing. We have a few machines to share, so please let us know if you need to borrow one.

Cut-and-sew kits are great beginner sewing projects, and all ages and sewing levels are welcome to this event! Feel free to bring your friends!

To send or drop handmade toys here: We will also be collecting any handmade toy donations here at Spoonflower's headquarters from now until Wednesday, November 20, at 5pm. You can drop by with your donations anytime if you are in the area, or you can mail finished toys to us. Please include your name and email address with any toy donations so we can keep you posted as we send over our donation and photos are shared!
