Yehuda Katz on SproutCore for jQuery Developers

Details
We're going to do something special this month. Yehuda Katz, SproutCore Core Team member and jQuery Team member, will be coming to Boston to give a introductory talk on SproutCore at the jQuery meetup in South Boston.
If you have an ongoing interest in SproutCore, please join and RSVP here, but please also RSVP at the jQuery meetup (https://www.meetup.com/jQuery-Boston/events/17184793/) page so that Bocoup knows how many people are coming!
Abstract:
"How do I organize my jQuery code for large applications?" It's a question that comes up over and over again, and is perhaps the most contentious question faced by jQuery developers. SproutCore, a declarative MVC framework built on jQuery, helps to answer that question. When you use SproutCore, you will manipulate the facts in your model and controller layers, and describe how the view should represent those facts. When the facts change, SproutCore will update the view for you. Under the hood, SproutCore uses jQuery to manipulate the DOM, and when you need to, you will also fall back to jQuery when needed.
After this talk, you'll understand how SproutCore builds on jQuery, and how you can use it to build full-fledged applications on the web.
Pizza & beer (thanks to Media Temple (http://mediatemple.net/)) should arrive at 6:30pm, and the talk will start promptly at 7pm. Thanks to Bocoup for hosting!
