Sprout Up is a free monthly event for forward-thinking Toronto area entrepreneurs to gather and mind-meld. A great chance for startups around the city to get friendly, discuss current trends, and network in a casual, open, and focused setting. Join us on November 18th for a special Global Entrepreneurship Week Sprout Up! The theme is youth entrepreneurship. Guest speaker Matthew Corrin will be talking about how he grew his business & how he's using social media to spread the word; and the presenting startups will all be current student entrepreneurs.

Matthew Corrin bio:
Matthew Corrin is the founder and CEO of Freshii Inc. a 16-unit healthy and eco-friendly restaurant chain focused on fresh food, custom built, fast. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Matthew headed to New York City to work with David Letterman, and then as the Public Relations and Marketing Manager for fashion icon Oscar de La Renta. Corrin opened his first Freshii restaurant in Toronto at the beginning of 2005 and won the prestigious ARC award for National Innovative Retail Concept of the Year. Freshii locations can be found in Chicago and Toronto with new stores opening in Washington, DC, New York City, Los Angeles, Denver, and Austria in 2010. Corrin currently lives in Toronto with his wife Kate and 2 year old daughter Annie. Between a young child and rapidly growing company, Matthew is proud to have mastered the art of a 5 hour/night sleep.
