Sprout Up is a monthly event for forward-thinking entrepreneurs to gather and mind-meld. A great chance for startups around the to get friendly, discuss current trends, and network in a casual, open, and focused setting. Hey everyone, the event is sold out and unfortunately we aren't selling tickets at the door. If you can get an extra ticket from someone else in the Meetup group that's great. No need to bring a printout, we'll have a guestlist at the door. Doors open at 6pm, so unfortunately if you come early you'll have to wait outside (venue's rules). See everyone tonight!

One man's post-game analysis: 1st of all big-ups to Erin Bury and Team Sprouter for putting together this obviously popular event. If we can handle name tag distribution better next time and colour-code the name tags to make networking easier and more structured that would be great. Also, good job on making 80% of people stand, this burns more calories, improves posture, and reduces aches and stiffness ;) Until next time.

I thought that the venue was great and the speaker was excellent! I learned a great deal and even met a few people as well. Great job!
  • Jonathan Mesiano-Crookston
Great event, as always. Only small issues: a bit crowded. Fifty fewer people would probably have been perfect. It was tough to see the presenter from the balcony, so people started talking to each other which was distracting. Other than those small points, it was great as always!
  • Ryan Speers
Great opportunity for meeting up with peers in the industry. It was an eye opener. I will DEFINITELY be attending more events.
  • Zdravko Jeremic
With 500 people attending networking is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Please structure it next time with color coded tags for industry or interest or space.
  • Zakir Hemraj
Great crowd and presenters. However, there were some logistical issues with name tags and crowd control. Otherwise, great event!
  • Brian Cugelman
Enjoyed the content and forum. I also got re-energized.
  • Nick D. Yang
the speaker was great, learned a lot. only complaint, obtaining the name tags = searching for a needle in the ocean. =)
  • Rick McCutcheon
Good event - need a better way to network - also bring in local Angel Investors they are a better fit US based VCs.

Met interesting entrepreneurs who are creating some very cool social and digital technology; enjoyed the three presentations and I look forward before too long being one of such three presentations on your stage; quite liked Charlie's sage advice and insights.
  • Chris Levesque
Great content but far too many people to see or hear the speakers. Seating only for approximately 25% of the people in attendance.
  • Jono Landon
Very busy. Try to get more developers there. Lots of people like me coming that are looking for developers but not many actual developers. There were some of course. All in all, a high quality event. Thanks.

I loved the atmosphere, the start-up presentstions and the guest speaker. If I had to critique something it would be the long wait time for registration and the cramped seating arrangement.
  • David Yorke
Good venue, slow registration process, met one solid contact...always a bonus. Why did I get an announcement of eveyone's need for a ticket, "looking forward to seeing you" messages? I didn't sign up for this as a sub twitter zone. Just the facts please, leave the comments page out of any further communicatons...please!!!!

A little too crowded for comfortable networking.
  • Tara Williston
interesting speakers, kept on schedule which was refreshing for these type of events.
  • Oleg Amurjuev
Very nice and valuable event, especially for young entrepreneurs! Please keep up. You have to work on the following issues: too crowdy and noisy, a too tough environment for networking, poor organization. I hope you will be able to overcome these problems and ensure a better organization. Let me know if any help will be needed. Oleg Amurjuev, Ph.D. Mentor at ventureLAB
