Details

Let's get together and deep dive into a few topics that developers could always benefit from learning more about.

Part 3: My buddy Jenkins. Continuous Integration.
By: Brian Haggard
Brian Haggard will do a thorough explanation of the popular continuous integration option "Jenkins." They will cover how you can get started, crazy things you can do that you may not be aware of, and ways to use Jenkins more effectively. Topics covered to at least some extent may include: Jenkins setup, source control configuration, distributed builds, ssh key management, types of alerts, green balls, Jenkins wall, Chuck Norris, and more! There are no real prerequisites for this talk. It will begin with an explanation of why you and your team might want to use Continuous Integration.

Part 4: No More Bugs. Test Driven Unity Development
By: Wes Ehrlichman
Wes Ehrlichman will explain the benefits of Test Driven Development and go through a few examples of how you would write test driven code in Unity. Topics covered include the role of unit tests, benefits of Test Driven Development, test setup, the Unity Test Tools framework, interfacing with Continuous Integration, and more!

BONUS: This month will continue the initiative to create a pair of open source games as a community. The results of the initial milestone will be demoed, we will continue evolving the direction of the games, and together we will decide on what our next milestones should be.
