About the Presentation
Hadoop users face a complex set of choices when considering predictive analytics solutions. There are good reasons for this. Analytics is not “one thing”, and needs vary broadly. As a result, selecting architectures and aligning them with evolving Hadoop distributions and your users’ changing needs is no simple operation.
At this meet-up, Bill Jacobs, Field CTO from Revolution Analytics will begin by comparing some of the analytics on Hadoop options that include legacy analytics products, open source R, rHadoop, Revolution R Enterprise and a class of emerging alternatives.
We’ll then present approaches to some of the new challenges users face including coming Hadoop enhancements including memory-based execution, analytics in large shared clusters, real-time analytics, production deployment, model management lifecycles and sensor based apps such as vehicle telematics, manufacturing quality, etc.
Finally, we’ll update the group on new products from Revolution, including a new freely downloadable version of R, new support and training solutions and a preview of some new capabilities we’re for Hadoop users.
