Apache Solr and Cloudera Search

During the last several presentations, including those from Monsanto and Mercy Health Systems, presenters mentioned that they were using Apache Solr on Hadoop in order to quickly search the data they've stored.

For our August meeting, Tom Wheeler will explain and demonstrate Cloudera Search, an open source product that makes it easy to run Solr at scale. This talk (which assumes no prior knowledge of Solr) will describe its use cases, explain the indexing process, and demonstrate how Solr can be used for analytics.
