Over the years of working with Hadoop, it became clear that setup, maintenance, and coding consume most of your time. In order to reduce the effort for people starting out with Hadoop, IBM's BigInsights provides a no-coding-required environment to explore your data. For those that have been through the struggles of setting up a cluster, this enterprise Hadoop in the Cloud helps to automate the setup process. And, as a unique offering in the marketplace, maintenance of the cluster is managed for you by IBM when you run BigInsights on the IBM Cloud. During this session, you will learn about BigInsights, the Open Data Platform, IBM value-adds, and the ways in which you can get started with BigInsights for free.

This session will be presented by Mike Nobles of IBM, who is currently focused on worldwide technical sales activities for IBM’s BigInsights on Cloud offering. His responsibilities include technical sales enablement, technical sales asset creation (demos, presentations, and videos), and on-site customer interaction to perform meetings with C-Level executives, line of business professionals, and leaders within Information Technology teams interested in BigInsights as well as the broader IBM Big Data overall strategy.
