Fun Holiday Ride + Pizza

Team, sorry to report only 1 of us suggested a meetup for this weekend. I really need for you guys and gals (11 of us now) to participate more and help make our team even more successful.

As this is a holiday weekend, my own dance card is packed with family events and I will not be available. However, I searched around town and found a "fun ride and pizza" sponsored by Trailnet. As a member of Trailnet, I have made a number of its rides. Always enjoyable. So while this will not be an offical STL Recumbent Riders event, I offer this for those who are looking for something to do this weekend. BUT please remember, ya all need to help me out in the future with suggestions on rides. Thanks. Info below:

Great Pizza Bicycle Ride

Registration: 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Start: Millstadt City Park
300 W. Parkview Dr. Millstadt, IL 62260

Routes: Short, medium, long

Terrain: Flat to rolling, some big hills

Features: This classic Memorial Day ride is routed on beautiful country roads in and around quaint, German settled Millstadt. After the ride, in the park and for an additional charge, Breadeaux Pizza will have pizza and Trailnet will provide drinks.

Directions: Take I-255 to exit 17 (IL-15), go southeast on IL-15 5.5 miles to Frank Scott Parkway. Go south on the Parkway 2.8 miles to IL-158. Go 3.4 miles to Millstadt. At Jefferson St. turn right and go .2 mile. The park is on the left.

Fees: On-line – $8 member, $13 non-member, $3 child. Day of ride – $10 member, $15 non-member, $3 child.
