WHAT: There may not be tons of MTB trails within riding distance, but there is alot of dirt roads!. This ride will be 80% on dirt trails and dirt roads, but is NOT a technical mountain bike ride. The pace will be easier, and designed as a recovery ride for the weekend road bike rides. "NO DROP" as always, we will re-group at the top of hills, and at any turns where necessary
WHEN: These rides will take place every other week on Sundays (day after the Saturday weekend Road Bike Club Rides).
ROUTE: 20-22 miles +/-, Check comments for weekly route.
WHO: This is for folks with a Cross Bike or Mountain Bike but no real mountain bike skills are required.
Average Speed of about 14 to 16 mph.
RIDE NOTES: Rides will roll out no more than 5 minutes after the advertised start time, please arrive early and be ready to roll on time.
-
Come prepared for mechanical breakdowns (bring spare tube, patch kit, tire levers, multi-tool).
-
Be sure to bring enough water for the length of the ride, especially with warmer weather ahead of us. As a general rule, one bottle of water is good for 1 hour of riding (8oz per 20 mins of ride time).
DISCLAIMER: We try to ensure the safest cycling experience on all of our rides, but cycling does come with some risk. Our ride leaders are all volunteers, not professional guides. Each member accepts responsibility for their own conduct and safety (including the safety of your bicycle and any other equipment) during club rides. You take part in club rides entirely at your own risk.
