Stairs and Trails at Debs Park

Start Time: Try to arrive by 9:45am, the hike will start at 10:00am. There is street parking available on Monterey Rd, Via Marisol, Avenue 60 and the other streets in the area, make sure to read parking signs. Do not park in the Fresco Market parking lot.

Description: Ernest E. Debs Regional Park is a nature reserve and regional park in the Montecito Heights neighborhood, with views of the Arroyo Seco, San Gabriel Mountains, and Downtown Los Angeles. This hike will include several steep stairs and trails. We will start in Highland Park then we will go up the stairs that lead to Debs Park. Only about 1 mile will be on paved streets, the rest of the hike will be on trails at Debs Park. The hike will be over 5 miles and end in 2 hours. The pace will be moderate and the goal will be to get a workout. It will be a loop hike so we will end at the starting location.
