Tel Aviv University Entrepreneurship Center
Tel Aviv University is the biggest research university in Israel. There are over 26,000 students and more than 2,000 faculty members, making TAU a hub of knowledge and innovation.
StarTAU, Tel Aviv University's Entrepreneurship Center, was established in 2009 in order to serve Israel's aspiring entrepreneurs, specifically focusing on TAU students and alumni.
StarTAU is a non-profit organization which assists businesses and entrepreneurs from a variety of business fields including: internet ventures, bio-tech development, mobile applications, low-tech ventures, patent licensing, and more.
StarTAU has allocated a great deal of resources to education by offering lectures, conventions, courses, and workshops. These educational sessions are taught by leading business people who have passion to help aspiring entrepreneurs. By taking part in the above mentioned activities, the entrepreneur gains knowledge, tools, and contacts in the industry they hope to work in. In addition to providing classroom experience to the entrepreneurs, StarTAU gives them the opportunity to receive practical, professional guidance. The entrepreneurs are provided resources and assistance in all parts of their business from business development, marketing, legal advice, etc.
StarTAU's connections with the top law and accounting firms, as well as marketing and advertising companies, allows the aspiring entrepreneurs to meet with the leaders in the industry to seek real-world professional advice. StarTAU is constantly working on elaborating on the services we provide and upgrading the existing ones. By always striving to improve on our end, we make sure that the entrepreneurs are in the best position to succeed in their endeavors.
StarTAU's goal is to build a solid platform which can link entrepreneurs (while assisting them) to the industry. However, beyond our main goal, there is an additional dimension of creation and creativity. We wish to help foster the entrepreneurial spirit in Israel to help creative minds form and build on original ideas, thereby enriching our lives with vividness, originality, and innovation.
StarTAU operates in four main fields:
Training: mentoring program, elite entrepreneur course, affiliate marketing workshop, social media class, doing business in China course, Women's Forum.
One-on-One Consulting: every entrepreneur who is serious about their idea will receive professional consultations in order to develop his/her venture.
Events: Every three months we hold a big convention with interesting lectures attended by hundreds of participants. Some of these events were: Chances in the Arab Sector Convention, Technological Convention, Successful Women in Business Convention, and Hi-Tech From Dream to Reality Convention. Furthermore, every month we host an Information Security Forum and a Women's Forum.
International: StarTAU hosts international delegations to Israel. StarTAU also organizes networking forums throughout the year catered to the international community in Tel Aviv.
