For our 1-year Anniversary, we are excited to welcome our own Travis Sheridan, speaking on "Maximizing Innovation and Entrepreneurship in St. Louis", plus a short talk on how to build "The Bulletproof Startup". This is gonna be good!

Travis Sheridan was a key player in the startup scene in Fresno California, and recently moved to STL to work with the Helix Center Incubator in St. Louis County. He's bringing some outside perspective and fresh ideas to St. Louis, and will share with us strategies for creating a culture of early adoption, navigating political waters and aligning agendas, plus a unique perspective on California vs. the Midwest. Travis is a rising star in the STL startup scene, don't miss this chance to hear his story!

To kick things off, we'll have a short talk by StartLouis organizer Dylan Hassinger (yours truly) called "The Bulletproof Startup." I've been studying startups and micropreneurship for the last several years, and have developed a philosophy that can make your new business invincible. The Bulletproof Startup is a 5-question checklist to prove that your project has what it takes to take root, grow, and ultimately survive the pressures of a cutthroat economic landscape. The questions are not easy, but answering them will give your startup a suit of armor and a battle plan!

Meetup takes place at the T-REx training room, 611 Olive St. in downtown St. Louis. Go to the 12th floor and turn left. Parking is available on street, or in the parking garage (entrance at 7th and Pine).

Networking time begins at 6:30pm, meetup begins at 7pm. Afterwards we will offer a tour of the T-REx incubator and more networking. All are welcome // free of charge.

This should be one of our best events yet, and a great way to celebrate our 1-year birthday. Sorry for the late announcement on this and for rescheduling; but it'll be worth it!
