We'll chat about using OAuth - Sergey will talk about benefits of the OAuth protocol and why we need it in our apps.
Then we'll open the computers and code away on our projects using Startup API.
We will be at Meetup HQ, on the 9th floor!

thank you for giving us such a great presentation Sergey! Even if I was not a developer, I really enjoyed it. I work as a graphic designer, and hopefully being a interactive visual graphic designer in the future. And thanks for the book as well ;) nice meeting you all!

A little too basic for me, but still interesting.

Meetup HQ agreed to host us and I'm updating the max RSVP limit to 80 so waiting list is all in and we still have plenty of spots open ;)

I'm working on the venue and will update the capacity when I have it, meanwhile, please sign up for a waiting list if you're interested - you'll be automatically RSVPing if spaces open up (or capacity extends).
Any chance of the max capacity extending?
I'll talk about OAuth in language agnostic way and people can code apps in any way they like, but if you code in PHP, you will be able to use Startup API open source project.

A group of web developers meets monthly to build web apps and learn how to do it right and fast using open source, web standards and various API (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google, Meetup and more).
The list of topics ranges from Security and Identity to Usability and Analytics. If you know a good topic we should discuss, please add it to the wiki, maybe even add some links to good articles / videos about it.
We also code web applications right at the meetings - using whatever we want, including, but not limited to Startup API open source project.
