Rob McGovern is a successful serial entrepreneur with a deeply rooted passion for helping people. With over 20 years of experience as a technology and media industry veteran, Rob is proven in his ability to create innovative companies that also produce positive social impact. Rob is most famously known for being the Founder and CEO of CareerBuilder.com (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CareerBuilder), an idea that came to him while sitting on the beach yet ultimately grew to be the largest job service platform on the Internet. Since its creation, tens of millions of people have used CareerBuilder to find more rewarding and fulfilling jobs.

Currently Rob is the Founder and CEO of Cobrain (https://cobrain.com/), a mobile application that leverages the worlds distributed intelligence to help individuals make better decisions. The inspiration for Cobrain came after Rob himself was involved in an accident (http://www.inc.com/magazine/201107/how-i-did-it-rob-mcgovern-jobfox.html) that left him with a severe brain injury and in a coma for weeks. The doctors had predicted Rob would be vegetative as a result of the horrific accident. However, true to his entrepreneurial spirit, Rob overcame the tremendous odds, and within a few months was at 100%, only it was a different 100%.

His story is a shining example of what entrepreneurship truly means: Determination, Resilience, and Persistence in the face of overwhelming odds. Join Startup Grind Baltimore on August 5th, to hear from Rob his inspirational story of not only overcoming external limitation, but his own internal hurdles.
