Calling all Carolina area Entrepreneurs and Tech-based Startups: Enter today for your chance in securing up to $250k in start-up capital.
Startup Grind Charlotte is excited to announce our biggest event of the year, featuring special guest speaker Amish Shah, Co-Founder of SierraMaya360. Frequent TV guest on CNBC, FOX News, Bloomberg and quoted in Wall Street Journal, NY Times, San Jose Mercury, LA Times and other leading publications globally, Amish will tell his amazing entrepreneurial success story and how he came to be Co-founder of SierraMaya360, which was recently named the top newcomer in Venture Capital in North America by Wealth and Finance International Magazine and listed 16th overall by Mattermark out of over 750+ VC’s in the world. Amish was also named amongst the top 7 to watch in 2014 by the Charlotte Observer.
After Amish tells his inspirational story, the real fun will begin…
For the first time in the Queen City, Startup Grind Charlotte will offer one lucky company or individual a seat at the table to pitch the partners of SierraMaya360 for an investment of up to $250,000.00. Everyone is welcome to attend the event and watch as history is made in the Charlotte Tech-Startups scene.
SierraMaya360-backed companies include: Lyft, Skycatch, Mattermark, Wefunder and many others.
The rules are simple:
First RSVP by emailing
Jeff@StartupGrind.com (Jeff@startupgrind.com)
with your pitch, company and contact information (Deadline for entries is Sunday 2/8/15 at 8:00 PM EST).
Round 1:
This will happen at the 2/10 Startup Grind Event. Pitch your company for 60 seconds using any props or gadgets that you see fit. This is where a well-crafted elevator pitch will serve you well.
After round 1 we will narrow the field down to the top 5 teams or individuals.
Round 2:
Directly after Round 1. The 5 finalists will have exactly 2 minutes to expand on their initial pitch in front of the panel.
The panel will then collaborate and pick the winner who will receive 4 hours of advisory services from founders and entrepreneurs that are apart of the SierraMaya360 network and the opportunity to pitch your business or concept to the rest of the SierraMaya360 team via video conference at a later date. If they fall in love with your idea/business they will help transform your vision into reality.
This event will take place on Tuesday February 10th from 6 - 9 PM EST at Enventys (520 Elliot Street, Charlotte, NC 28202) where the hit PBS / Emmy Winning TV Show Edison Nation is filmed. We will be providing dinner, drinks and beer. All of which is all included in the cost of your ticket. You must RSVP here and purchase tickets online or for $12.00 at the door.
So, get excited, get prepared, practice your pitches and be ready to impress. We look forward to hearing about and potentially bringing one lucky individual or team’s vision to life.
