Alex Gould, The Valley Fund
Alex's work includes time in venture capital (both direct investing and fund of funds), helming startup companies, several board seats and over 15 years both teaching entrepreneurship and finance at Stanford and working with the radio and music industries. He is the founder of a new undergraduate leadership program at Stanford and spent a decade building out Revolution Media, a media buying agency in SF.
He has worked at the Stanford Management Company on the venture capital/private equity portfolio, at Voyager Capital as a venture capitalist, as a serial entrepreneur, founder, and/or board member of several companies in multiple spaces including digital media, gourmet food, and internet search. Alex is a member of the Stanford Senior Executive Program and a scholar at Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and has taught worked since 1997 in the Stanford Technology Ventures Program.
Alex is also a certified Schwinn Cycling Instructor, and loves cross-training. He's been a competitive distance runner, golfer and a Radio/Club DJ most of his life.
