Startup Grind Toronto After Hours

Join us August 23 for our special After Hours event where we'll be getting together to network and find ways to help one another. After Hours is a speaker-less networking event run within the Startup Grind family of events. It's a chance to bring the best and brightest Toronto has to offer together for one night to eat, drink, network, and build stronger relationships. The event is being hosted at Wave Accounting HQ's beautiful patio and office. Please tell your friends and RSVP early as space is limited to 50 people.

7:00 - Networking, Pizza, Drinks

Wave Accounting is a Toronto-based, free online accounting application for small businesses with 9 employees or less, featuring unlimited invoicing and expense tracking, accountant-friendly tools and reports, personal finance and more. Wave Accounting currently tracks almost $4 billion of small business income and spending for hundreds of thousands of customers around the world. Wave closed a $5 million Series A investment round led by Charles River Ventures, and most recently received a $12 million Series B investment from The Social +Capital Partnership.

In the eighteen months that it has been available, Wave has had a very substantial impact on the way entrepreneurs and founders operate. Wave Accounting, the core product, has had over 250,000 small business owners sign up in 200 countries. So far, it has already tracked $29,034,287,589 in income and spending, connected to 91,661 bank accounts, downloaded 16,754,437 transactions, and saved small business owners 5,584,812 minutes of manual entry.

By maintaining a laser focus on entrepreneurs and startups, Wave has created an intuitive, easy to use and free application. It has liberated entrepreneurs from the fear of accounting, as well as from the lack of insights into their financial situation. Wave has given small business owners the insights to make smarter financial decisions, the ability to easily send professional looking invoices, and the confidence to take charge of their finances.

Startup Grind is an event series and website designed to help educate, inspire, and connect local entrepreneurs. Each month we welcome an amazing speaker who shares their story with our community and tells us what worked, what didn't, and what they'll do differently next time. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from the best, network with other members of the startup community, and improve your chances of entrepreneurial success.
