Startup Tasmania (previously OpenCoffee Hobart) is an open and regular event where entrepreneurs, investors and startup enthusiasts can meet in an informal setting.

Imagine it as a big open lounge where people come and go, talk to others in their industry, showcase demos of what they are working on, get feedback and hopefully do business.

Startups need peers, feedback and a bit of fresh inspiration to thrive. Startup Tasmania aspires to become the place in Tasmania to do just that.

The events run monthly and everyone is welcome. You are likely to meet other entrepreneurs and, we hope, some investors too -- if not, at least you can work in peace.

Startup Tasmania builds on the Open Coffee tradition.  The OpenCoffee Club is a worldwide network of local groups that encourage entrepreneurs, business developers and investors to organize informal meetups to chat, network and grow. Started in February 2007, the network now extends around the globe.
