Libertarians and Liberals

Conservatives are invited, too, but they don't fit the whole alliteration thing I've got going. :) This will be one of the bi-weekly meetings of the State Line Freethinkers group. This is intended as a place for libertarians and non-libertarians to discuss whatever pops up. I'll throw out a topic before we meet, but won't enforce it or anything. I like to talk about whatever people find interesting.
This week, we're traveling a bit farther north than normal and going to Houlihan's on 53rd St. They've got great food and atmosphere. Hopefully, we'll get some folks from the Plaza and Westport area to come out, too, since it's up their way more than our usual venues.
The Occupy movements are quite the topic of discussion, lately. I'm not sure what to make of them, but I think they're certainly discussing things we all find important, whether we agree with them or not. Most of us probably agree with their concerns, but very few agree on solutions, even within the Occupiers. Let's find other things we have common ground on. I think liberals and libertarians agree on much more than they'd like to admit to. :)
