My reason for starting this group is to find people with whom I can share the joy of running and to find people who will motivate me to wake up early (before work around 6:00am) and go running but I do also wish to provide other runners with motivation as well. My goal is have all the runners meet up once a week on the same day. I or someone else will show the trails to the people that are new and then we will all run at our own speed. People that are within the same speed range can create small subgroups. Trail running isn't an easy thing, it is much more difficult and your speed compared to road running will reduce dramatically. I also plan on having a morning run during the week.
We will be doing
50% Trail Running (Weekends and some weekday mornings)
20% Beach (Weekends, some weekday mornings and some nights)
30% Street (If for some reason we can't do the trails or beach will run on the roads)
6-8 Mile run from Miller Field to the end of the boardwalk and back.
I'm planning on just jumping right in.
