Topics TBD by Participants at the Event

Interested in topics such as philosophy, history, psychology, political science, technology, science, etc.? We get together for a couple of hours or so over dinner to discuss topics that the group decides on. We limit each dinner to 6 - 8 participants so that each participant has ample opportunity to talk with the other participants. The limit also helps encourage animated conversation that is conducive to a restaurant environment.

As your host, I reserve a restaurant in Walnut Creek that is affordable, not too noisy (relatively speaking) and has enough room to accommodate a 6 - 8 person table.

Since I make dinner reservations based on the number of RSVPs, please make sure that you can attend before signing up for this meetup.

The format of each dinner is in large part open-ended. Once everyone has arrived, we start off going around the table to have each participant introduce him / herself and we choose topics that have been suggested by members on our message board: https://www.meetup.com/Stimulating-Conversation-Social-Club/messages/boards/thread/38727102

Once you have RSVP'd for this meetup, we encourage you to add topic ideas to the message board (but, it's by no means a requirement that you post to the message board).
