I started this group in order to have some people I could talk to every week who are either intellectual or aspire to be so. Fake it 'till you make it. Every week we read about and meet to discuss one person who contributed to philosophy substantially. The list of people is taken from a timeline of western and middle eastern philosophers on wikipedia. The order is time sequential from Thales to Foucault so join early and learn it all. Be able to discuss it all, compare and contrast. Impress your fancy college friends. Why from beginning to end like that? Because that's the way it's done. Each thinker either builds upon or rejects and rebels against the previous.
Just read the Wikipedia entry on him and come and discuss that or anything else you want to discuss.
