Impeach Obama Protest at La Jolla Fundraiser
Details
Obama and Pelosi will both be guests at a fundraiser in La Jolla to benefit the Democratic candidates in the next election. The perfect protest, this is a chance to show Obama and Pelosi both exactly what you think. This protest has been advertised in multiple locations and via e-mail. 50-70 protesters -- maybe as many are 100 -- are expected to participate, including at least one liberal group also protesting for Obama's impeachment.
No need to bring a sign, unless you want. We will have extras. Bring US and Gadsden flags, if you have them. We can always use more flags.
This fundraiser is billed as a "lunch." Be prepared to stay for an extended time, because they may arrive later than expected. We also want to be there for their departure. Check back here for updates, just before the protest date.
There is ample free parking on side streets and at nearby Allen Field.
This is an impeach Obama protest, but if you want to protest specific topics that is certainly okay, also, Amnesty, Obamacare, gun rights, etc.
We had a protest at this same location in October of 2012 when Michelle Obama was the guest and are familiar with the area. It is likely we can position ourselves to that Obama and Pelosi will drive right by the protestors. Last time there were 8-10 News crews there. The reporters actually outnumbered the protestors.
We expect to have much better participation this time, with both Obama and Pelosi in attendance. A large protest will attract widespread attention, at least in the Internet and maybe also in the national media.
Below are photos of the Oct 2012 event. This is at the Intersection of Inverness Ct and Dunaway Drive, only about 40-50 yards away form the house and Michell Obama was driven right by us. If the police block off, Dunaway Dr, we will gather at Torrey Pines Road and Dunaway Drive.
