Yes I do. I have taken a couple of group beginner classes (one was Stu's Sierra College series). I have also attended a few group strum/sing along (including Uke University). Currently getting together twice a month with a very small group up in the Auburn area. Group has a very diverse range of experience level, all the way down to absolute beginners. Just enjoying myself, and trying to get myself better on my own. But I really do enjoy the group settings.
Totally by chance. Some time back I was in Santa Cruz, and ventured down to the beach area at the Harbor. Relaxing and having a cup of coffee, when within a few minutes I was surrounded by about 40 uke players that turned out to be the Santa Cruz Ukulele Club. What a joy to watch and listen. Soon I was hooked, but just took a little time to get involved. Glad I did.
Four and probably growing. I was warned about this. It's all in fun.
Yes I do. I would love to attend. I was in the Strum Shop today, talked with Stu for a few minutes and here I am getting signed up for meetups. I do plan to attend soon, and hopefully bring along some of the folks from our little Auburn group.
From Stu when taking his class, and now again from visiting the new shop.
My name is Patrick Brown. I am a retired government worker; therefore, must be at least a very young senior citizen. Have been introduced to the ukulele and I am having a great time. Would still consider myself mostly beginning, but advancing.
good times for all, why do anything else when this is an option?
