This four hour class will take you from planning a shot, to lighting, shooting and editing. We will be using SPEEDLIGHTS! Nikon CLS will be the main focus of the class, but 95% of what we do can be done with Canon Speedlights as well. We'll mount them in umbrellas and softboxes, shoot them through scrims, bounce them off reflectors, and do everything we can to get great results from your flash. We'll even discuss how to get better results from your camera's built in flash!

We begin at 2:30pm SHARP! In the first hour, we will talk about how to plan out a shot, think about how to light the shot, and how to pose the shot. We will discuss various lighting techniques, camera control, and, subject direction.

At 3:30pm, we will break up into small groups, and practice the techniques we discussed. We will have three models available to work with. There will be no "Stand over there and look pretty" shots. You will be creating an image using studio props, designing an impromptu set, and lighting the image to create something unique. We will shoot for two hours.

At 5:30pm, we will gather together again and bring images into Photoshop. Various editing techniques will be discussed. We will end PROMPTLY at 6:30pm, as the models will have use of the studio for private shoots.

A Nikon or Canon Flash is recommended for this class. Not necessary, but recommended.
