Moore’s Law has been used to directing the development of microprocessors for the last 60 years, a field that has shown an astounding progress in technology that is unparalleled in any other field, but as microprocessors approach the very fundamental limits of the physical universe itself is Moore’s Law finally at an end? This presentation takes a look at what these fundamental limits are, and what if anything the microprocessor industry can do about them.
