Don Valley Sunday Walk: Chorley Park to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery

Details

This group-guided Wild Culture Walk begins at the east entrance of Castle Frank subway station where we meet at 2 pm (departing sharp at 2:10 pm). We then continue up through Rosedale for a couple of blocks to Chorley Park and down into the valley where we weave through the Park Drive Ravine, Vale of Avoca Ravine under the St. Clair Avenue bridge and up to Mount Pleasant Cemetery; we finish at a watering hole near Davisville subway station, to be determined, where a rest is well deserved.

Ad hoc witnessing of interesting things most encouraged! Feel free to bring a bit of knowledge about something on our walk that you might dispense. It's our fun so let's get it. A sustaining snack, sandwich or drink that you might consume along the way might be useful.

If there's a theme it's how we can all become more intimate with the wild culture of our city. The purpose of the walk is to be outdoors, get some good exercise and meet some new people with common interests who love walking and nature.
