How do the meetups go?

Hi! I have tried freethinker meetups previously (in TX), and found them to be disappointing. I am not looking for a place to TALK about being atheist. I am looking for a place to meet people with similar interests, interesting people, and share thoughts on all sorts of subjects...hopefully, in the process, making some new friends.

That this going to be structured in a manner that the focus will be on being atheist? Or will it merely be a community consisting of people having similar world views?

I think you have a valid point.

Also, I have noticed that online group activities tend to be only pre-isolated, or "social group", or "low key" activity (to excess).

It's only by putting ourselves in varied (and positive) situations will we improve. This is done by at least two ways- experiencing activities and being among people. If we don't improve we will get stale.

So, we need social activities that aren't mixers, may be among people, and at the time people normally go out to that place.
