Amtgard is an international organization for fun battles with foam weapons.  We have a simple combat system, that ensures safe intense fighting, and also includes magic, monsters, siege weapons and castles.  There will be quests and adventures, campouts and celebrations.  Amtgarders range the gamut from people who are interested in recreating fantansy garb and clothing, master armorers and foamsmiths, roleplayers recreating midieval characters or fantastic races which can only exist in your imagination to players who just want to come out and fight. 

Amtgard is free, and anyone can participate.  The weapons pass rigorous safety standards, and their padding makes sure that the fighting is fun and not painful.
