Surrey Area Weekend Walkers (SAWW) is a friendly not-for-profit walking and hiking group aimed at people between 35 and 55, with over 300 members.

We also have an up and coming sister group, Surrey and Beyond Ramblers (SABRE), which has no age restrictions, which produces a rolling programme with SAWW.

You are very welcome to have two or three free introductory walks before you join us a full member (see further down about membership)

Each weekend we have 2 or 3 led walks, of which we're showing a selection on Meetup. We also meet to walk mid week.

We offer weekends away and holidays in the UK and abroad. Our social events include meals out, bowling, barbecues and weekend pub meet ups.

Don't worry about coming along to a walk which not a lot of people appear to have signed up for on Meetup.  There'll be plenty of other SAWW members there too, a lot of our members are not on Meetup!

Ramblers membership will allow you to come on as many walks as you like in any of its 500 groups  Your subscription will support the Ramblers' work encouraging people to take up walking, and safeguarding the footpaths, the countryside and other places we go walking. If you're a keen walker, we believe we are one of the best options on Meetup. Unlike other Meetup groups which are often run for profit, our walk leaders won't ask you for a penny. They lead walks simply to share their love of the countryside and give something back to the group.
