Basically what you would expect from a person who lives in the city but loves the outdoors and grew up in rural southern Illinois. A bit of foraging. Fishing and hunting (of course). I can identify some edible plants, make a shelter, and purify water is a number of ways. I am a member of another survival group and carry the lessons from their meetups as well. In short, as long as it isn't winter they'd find me in the forest alive but wanting a cheeseburger.
Lots. Out in the west/southwest, northern and southern Illinois local stuff, Wisconsin, Michigan... the list goes on. Recently, I have fallen from the truer faith and would need to get back into shape though.
Camping, shooting, orientation w/compass, canoeing (and some basic boating), rock climbing (so knots and what not), some tracking, setting snares and traps from available items, and some basic knowledge of plants. I also am a judo instructor... just in case you move into 'urban survival' stuff wanting to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
Hello, all! My fiance and I are always looking for another outdoor group to sharpen our survival skills.
