Survivalists of North Carolina Meetups center on skill development across a wide array of topics necessary to not only survive, but to thrive in uncertain times.  Many of these skills were common knowledge of past generations and have been nearly lost, but may prove to be essential in many potential catastrophic events.  Our subject matter focuses on well researched materials that are taught by our members to our members, thus the need to diversify the expertise of our group over time.  By learning together, we develop a strong network of individuals who share common goals and support one another. Camaraderie is the logical byproduct of working together.  In contrast to most Meetup groups, we are not primarily geared towards social interaction, however when working in close proximity to each other there are opportunities to develop strong friendships.

What do we expect from our members?  We expect them to actively and consistently participate in both the learning and sharing of skills.  We expect them to be committed, capable, discrete in communications, honest, worthy of earning the trust of the other members, willing to operate with integrity, and that they can understand and embrace the importance of privacy and personal security for all members.  Failure in any one attribute above is failure to meet the criteria for membership.
