Time to start planning and planting your garden! Let's have a seed swap*. This will be a great chance to meet your neighbors, share a little gardening gossip, as well as prepare for spring planting. Bring your seeds, bring your catalogues, bring your gardening know-how and get excited about the new planting season!

As always, SCH (http://www.sustainablecapitolhill.org) events are free, but we gladly accept donations to keep the events going.

SCH March Event
Monday, March 2
Braeburn, 1410 E. Pine St.

6:30p Potluck (please bring a snack or beverage, as well as your own utensils and plates)
7:00p Seed Swap and Garden talk

Please meet us at Braeburn 1410 E. Pine St. There are two doors, so make sure you go to the 1410 door, where you can get buzzed in (there will be a sign at the door with instructions).

P.S.--If you'd like to join the planning meeting, we will be meeting for about 30 min after the event. Please feel free to stay and give us your input!

  • In case you don't know what a seed swap is, here (http://www.motherearthnews.com/Organic-Gardening/2007-12-01/Swap-Seeds-This-Season.aspx) is a quick rundown on what it entails - basically, bring your extra seeds, and switch with your neighbors, so you can have a vibrant variety of plants in your garden!
Don't worry if you didn't save your own seeds; bought seed packets are welcome! Hey, don't even worry if you don't have ANY seeds: there will probably be extras to go around, plus there's no better time to go in with your neighbor on a catalog purchase.
