How to Make a Solar Oven

Solar ovens use sunlight to slow cook or warm foods without the aid of electricity or other fuel sources. While primarily used in regions where no fuel is available or where there are serious threats of fire, they can also be used to sterilize water and be helpful on camping trips. Build an oven and receive a simple recipe. All supplies provided.  Please contact Reston Association's Walker Nature Education Center at (703)[masked] to reserve your spot.

Speaker: Diane Blust

Co-sponsored by Reston Community Center and Walker Nature Center.

Reservations required by May 16th.

$5 for RA Members, $8 for non-members.

Age 10 through adult welcome.

This looks like fun, and we can use it for impromptu parties at the garden :)
