Join us Dec. 6 as we welcome Auden Schendler to discuss sustainable tourism and the "Protect our Winters" initiative. Auden will be the first guest speaker in our new offices in downtown Boulder.
Auden Schendler is VP of Sustainability at Aspen Skiing Company, where he has led the industry in use of renewable energy, climate policy, certified green buildings, onsite renewables, biodiesel in vehicles, sustainability reporting, and political activism. He worked previously in corporate sustainability at Rocky Mountain Institute.
Auden's writing has been published in Harvard Business Review, the L.A. Times, Slate, Scientific American Earth 3.0, Salon.com and other media.
His work has been covered in Outside, Fast Company, Travel and Leisure and BusinessWeek.
Auden has testified to Congress on the impacts of climate change and speaks widely on sustainability. His book Getting Green Done was called “an antidote to greenwash” by NASA’s James Hansen.
