Saturday Yin Yoga Benefiting Heart Japan
Details
(INDOOR)
A quiet, meditative yoga practice, Yin Yoga focuses on lengthening connective tissue and is meant to complement the more active types of yoga (such as vinyasa). Yin poses are passive, meaning you relax muscles and let gravity do the work. And they're long - so you'll practice patience too. The class will last one hour and consist of 10 poses, held for 5 minutes each, with 1 minute of rest in between. Yin yoga assists the body in becoming more flexible and energizing the organ meridians. Bring your yoga mat and some water, as well as any additional props you have (such as a blanket, bolster, or block). All levels welcome.
We will begin promptly at 12:00, so plan to arrive 5 - 10 minutes early to prepare for your practice and avoid disrupting other students.
WHAT TO BRING:
Minimum: yoga mat and water
Suggested additions: blanket, bolster, block
