The Scrum Maturity Model is an applicable, useful and viable approach to reduce the failed development projects rate within the evaluation set of organizations. And the assessment can be undertaken for organizations to deliver projects internally or those that provide a project management service.

The model can used to understand the key practices that are part of an effective organizational process to manage projects, to identify the key practices that need to be embedded within the organization to achieve the next level of maturity and to understand the rationale behind the assessment questionnaire.
