Pittwater YHA 2 nights adventure or relax

This is a dual group meetup also listed with Sydney-Explorers for a fun and relaxing weekend.

Hi everyone, this is an amazing opportunity to experience a wonderful weekend away at a special place in the heart of Pittwater, see the link below for more details but believe me when I say this is a special place. Friday and Saturday nights!

I will book out the complete YHA with 32 beds, bring a top and bottom sheet and pillow case and towel, sorry no sleeping bags, sorry YHA rules! (duvet is provided) Two nights both Friday and Saturday nights!

Trivia night will be held on Saturday night, plus other games will be organised over the weekend, plus bush walks, kayaks and much more to those who want to participate, all in all a fun time!

As a payment is required within a couple of weeks if you are interested you will need to confirm then payment is required, Sydney Explorer members only, no refunds but I may be able to find an alternative member to take your place if required.

There is a host of bush walks available, 6 kayaks/canoes are included for use, lots of wildlife and much more. You can just relax and enjoy the tranquil surrounds, a very relaxing weekend away from Sydney... Not to mention lots of wildlife, wallabies, kangaroos, echidna, possums & goanna galore!

Cost will include food for the weekend, this is multi share accommodation so we need to be flexible in sleeping arrangements, requests can be made but not guaranteed, please only confirm if you are happy sleeping in a mixed dorm with 4 or 6 beds there are two twin rooms but a surcharge applies and allocated closer the time.

Food is included in the weekend, vegetarian OK but some allergies may not be able to be catered for sorry. Bring beer or wine, no spirits allowed sorry YHA rules. Food will be basic so if you want to bring snacks, fruit, chocolate, comfort food etc please feel free to do so. Meals will be vegetarian pasta, vegetarian noodles, salad cold meats, cheese, rolls etc for lunch, toast and eggs for breakfast.

Hillside lodge nestled over Morning Bay in Ku-ring-gai National Park. This hostel is an easy escape from the busy city life of Sydney and ideal for groups. Attractions include bushwalks to lookouts and Aboriginal engravings, plus from the hostel you can see native birds, wallabies, possums and goannas.

Barbeque Boat/Canoe Open Fireplace Beach Bird Watching Bushwalking/Hiking Canoeing/Kayaking Fishing National Park Sailing Swimming Wilderness Kayak and picnic around the bay. Bushwalk to lookouts, aboriginal engraving sites and waterfalls. See native animals in their natural setting. Try twilight sailing or just doing nothing! How to Get To Pittwater YHA To reach the hostel you travel to Church Point, 30 km north of the city. At Church Point you catch the ferry/water taxi. Public Transport From Sydney Airport Take train to Central Station. From the city Take the E86 bus direct (afternoon peak hours only, 4.30 to 5.45 pm and requires advance purchase of ticket) from Railway Square at Central (Lee St Stand B) or Wynyard (Carrington St Stand D). Alternatively, from city, take L88 or L90 bus and change to 156 bus at Mona Vale to reach Church Point. Some 155 buses also run to Church Point at 7.22 pm and 8.12 pm – check with driver. From Manly Wharf Take 156 bus direct to Church Point or evening 155 buses as noted above. From Church Point Wharf Take ferry or water taxi to Halls wharf. Last ferry at 7 pm weekdays and 6.30 pm weekends and public holidays. For the ferry timetable go to www.churchpointferryservice.com Pink WaterTaxi available all times: use free phone at the wharf. At Halls Wharf, then follow the YHA signs to hostel. It is a 15 minute walk on bush track uphill. To assist getting supplies to the hostel wheel barrows are available on request. If arriving after dark, bring a torch to see sign posts and reflective markers. By car There is a public, pay-and display car park at Church Point which costs $28 per day, $52 for 2 days (cash or credit card). Limited street parking is also available. Give yourself extra time to park. Drop off people and supplies at Church Point and driver finds a park.

On arrival to Halls Wharf at Pittwater YHA carry your things up from the ferry to the top of the asphalt pathway,from there just walk along to the right (in the direction of the YHA signpost and arrow) and pick up a wheelbarrow, which is behind a timber fence marked by a pink ribbon.Wheelbarrow things up to the hostel following directional signsif required, return wheelbarrows to the yard behind the pink ribbon.Please do not take the wheelbarrows down the asphalt pathway.
